Tips for Trips

We are located in the village of Adršpach, home to the entrance to the Adršpach Rock City, as well as the nearby Cross Hill (1 km away) and the ruins of Adršpach Castle. This location is highly popular among tourists.

Adršpach Rocks

Adršpach Rocks

The Adršpach Rocks are approximately 150 million years old. From a geological perspective, this relatively young age explains the unusually sharp and relatively unweathered peaks of the local rock formations. These so-called "rock towns" are characterized by a large number of unusually narrow and tall rock formations resembling towers. The beautiful Metuje River originates in this region and flows into the Elbe River just a few dozen kilometers further downstream.

Teplice Rocks

Teplice Rocks

The most famous tourist trail through the Teplice Rocks area is 6 km long and is more physically demanding compared to the trail in the Adršpach Rocks. You can enter the rocks at the edge of the town of Teplice nad Metují. Another way to access the Teplice Rocks is by crossing from the Adršpach Rocks through the Wolf Gorge (Vlčí rokle). The path through Wolf Gorge connecting the two rock towns is 4 km long, and if you decide to take it, be prepared for some elevation changes.

Broumov

Broumov

The Monastery of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a Benedictine monastery located in the small town of Broumov. Founded in 1256, it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can admire its beautiful Baroque and Gothic architecture, richly decorated interiors, including frescoes, sculptures, and other works of art. The monastery also features exhibitions on the history of the Benedictine order, book culture, and the production of brewery products, which are still made on-site.
